Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) conducted a Participatory Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) for REINA Federation of Parents Association, Inc. (REINA) in Infanta, Quezon, from September 18 to September 19, 2023, for the Organizational Overall Capacity of ChildFund Local Partners.
REINA was the final local partner organization, among a total of 11 in the Philippines, to undergo this evaluation. Among these, 5 were based in Mindanao, while the remaining 6 were located in Luzon and Visayas. The primary aim of the OCA was to pinpoint opportunities for local partner organizations, like REINA, to enhance their impact in advancing the welfare and development of children, families, communities, and other stakeholders. As part of this process, REINA also had the chance to review its mission, vision, and strategies to ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives.
TFI, in their role as assessors, conducted an evaluation that assessed organizational capacity across six key areas: Governance and Leadership, Organizational Culture and Management, Program Development and Management, Partnerships, Networks and Reputation, Financial Management, Administrative Management, and Human Resources.
This assessment aimed to provide a comprehensive view of REINA’s organizational strengths and areas for improvement, ultimately contributing to its long-term growth and effectiveness.
The OCA, as an integral part of ChildFund Philippines’ initiative, is closely aligned with TFI’s Pillar 2: Data for Organizational Excellence and Track 2: Third-Party Monitoring and Assessment Services, with a particular focus on evaluating the Management and Operational Systems of Community-Based Organizations and Civil Society Organizations. This alignment underscores the strategic and collaborative approach of TFI to empower and enhance the effectiveness of the organizations it supports.
