The TFI secretariat team attended a lecture on organizational resilience at the Paraiso Verde Hotel in Koronadal, South Cotabato, on October 6, 2023. The lecture highlighted the importance of organizational resilience as a key factor for an organization’s survival in a dynamic and real-life setting.
Organizational resilience is the ability of an organization to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions to survive and prosper. Within the context of TFI, organizational resilience has four key points:
Strategic Shift and Changes
An organization must be able to identify internal and external factors that will have a significant impact on its ability to conduct daily operations and likewise be able to adapt to these sudden changes.
Staff Learning and Development
This focuses on team and individual growth. Ideally, a team or an individual should have a degree of competency in their respective tasks, such as proficiency in conceptual or even physical tools to accomplish these tasks. Additionally, possession of a multidisciplinary skillset is encouraged for the team or individual to be able to respond to ever-changing demands.
Innovations and Technology
As mentioned above, an organization must be proficient in multiple conceptual tools and devices that generate efficient results and must also push itself into adapting new methods or technologies to stay ahead of the competition.
Clientele Behavior/Demand Creation
An organization must have a team of diverse experts who have a clear vision of the organization’s direction moving forward. These experts must therefore be able to adapt to current demands and generate demand to stay relevant.
The lecture then concludes once the TFI staff has internalized or absorbed all the key points of the subject matter.
