Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) assessed the Organizational Overall Capacity of ChildFund Partners, conducting a two-day Participatory Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) from September 11 to September 12, 2023, with St. Paul University Philippines Community Development Center Foundation, Inc. (SPUPCDCFI) in Tuguegarao City.
SPUPCDCFI is the ninth local partner organization out of 11 in the Philippines to undergo this assessment. The primary goal of the OCA was to identify areas where local partner organizations like SPUPCDCFI can take a more influential role in fostering the well-being and development of children, families, communities, and other stakeholders.
TFI, in their role as organizational capacity assessors, evaluated the two organizations across six capacity areas. These areas covered Governance and Leadership, Organizational Culture and Management, Program Development and Management, Partnerships, Networks and Reputation, Financial Management, Administrative Management, and Human Resources.
This assessment aimed to provide a holistic view of SPUPCDCFI’s organizational strengths and areas for improvement, ultimately contributing to its long-term growth and effectiveness.
The OCA, as an integral part of ChildFund Philippines’ initiative, is closely aligned with TFI’s Pillar 2: Data for Organizational Excellence and Track 2: Third-Party Monitoring and Assessment Services, with a particular focus on evaluating the Management and Operational Systems of Community-Based Organizations and Civil Society Organizations. This alignment underscores the strategic and collaborative approach of TFI to empower and enhance the effectiveness of the organizations it supports.
