Isabela Foundation Incorporated (IFI) has successfully completed a 2-day Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) in collaboration with Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) from August 25 to 26 in Isabela, Basilan. This undertaking was aimed at bolstering the capabilities of local partner organizations associated with ChildFund Philippines.
The IFI group responsible for Program Development and Management, as well as Partnerships, Networks, and Reputation, is dedicated to addressing the organizational capacity assessment tool.
IFI stands as the second local organization partner, among a total of 11 in the Philippines, to undergo the OCA process as part of ChildFund’s overarching initiative. This initiative has the objective of empowering and strengthening these local partners, enabling them to effectively contribute to the well-being and advancement of children and their respective communities.
As organizational capacity assessors, TFI evaluated the partner organizations across six critical capacity areas and gauged their current levels of competency within each capacity area. This assessment process serves a dual purpose: identifying promising opportunities for diversifying funding sources and formulating targeted strategies to enhance organizational capacity and ensure sustained long-term growth.
The Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) by ChildFund Philippines aligns with TFI’s Pillar 2: Data for Organizational Excellence. Positioned within Track 2: Third Party Monitoring and Assessment Services, specifically Pillar 2.2 zeroes in on the Evaluation of Management and Operational Systems of Community-Based Organizations / CSOs. This strategic alignment underscores the strategic alignment and collaborative approach of TFI towards fostering the growth and effectiveness of organizations it provides assistance to.
