Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) has recently completed a 2-day Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) in collaboration with Vicariate Social Development Foundation Inc. (VSDFI) from August 21 to 22 in Jolo, Sulu, with the aim of enhancing the capabilities of local partner organizations of ChildFund Philippines.
VSDFI stands as the first among the 11 local organization partners in the Philippines to undergo the OCA process as part of ChildFund’s initiative. This assessment seeks to empower, strengthen, and offer support to these organizations, enabling them to effectively contribute to the well-being and development of children, their parents, and their respective communities.

As an assessor, TFI evaluated the partner organizations across six distinct capacity areas and gauged their current levels of competency within each capacity area. This assessment process not only aided in identifying potential opportunities for diversifying funding sources but also contributed to crafting strategies designed for capacity enhancement and long-term sustainability.
The Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) of ChildFund Philippines aligns directly with TFI’s Pillar 2: Data for Organizational Excellence and falls under Track 2: Third Party Monitoring and Assessment Services. Specifically, Pillar 2.2 focuses on the Review of Management and Operational Systems of Community-Based Organizations / CSOs. This integration underscores the strategic alignment and collaborative approach of TFI towards fostering the growth and effectiveness of organizations it provides assistance to.
