LAKE SEBU, SOUTH COTABATO – August 24, 2025 – In pursuit of attaining sustainable impact in peacebuilding and development, Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) aims to institutionalize a commitment to excellence and accountability with a two-day workshop on program management and standards manual development. The event, held on August 23 and 24 at the Punta Isla Resort in Lake Sebu, brought together all TFI staff.
The workshop is part of TFI’s Institutional Strengthening Project with UN Women, and with support from the Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). Orson Sargado, a member of the TFI Pool of Experts and a seasoned organizational development specialist, facilitated the sessions. Mr. Sargado has over 25 years of experience in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and program management and has previously worked with organizations like Catholic Relief Services (CRS). His expertise also includes capacity strengthening for organizations and strategic planning.
The main objective of the workshop was to formulate and refine TFI’s program management standards and process flows based on its current practices and lessons learned. The output will be a comprehensive Program Management Standards Manual. This manual is intended to be used with equal importance as TFI’s existing Manual of Operational Excellence. Key cross-cutting themes, such as gender-sensitivity and conflict-sensitivity, were incorporated into the development process to ensure TFI’s programs remain inclusive and effective.
