KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – June 2025 – Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) and Tiyakap Kalilintad, Inc. (TKI) successfully concluded a pivotal two-day Joint Planning Workshop aimed at enhancing their collaborative efforts for the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) project that both organizations are implementing, funded by UN Women through the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
The workshop, held in Koronadal City, brought together key staff and leadership from both organizations. Leading the delegations were Mr. Ahmed Harris R. Pangcoga, Executive Director of TFI, and Mr. Abdulnasser B. Benasing, Executive Director of TKI. The intensive sessions focused on a comprehensive leveling-off of roles and responsibilities, ensuring seamless complementation between TFI’s expertise as a lead organization and TKI’s strong community presence and grassroots experience.
Discussions during the two days centered on operationalizing the UN Women-WPHF project, which seeks to strengthen the capacities of at least ten women-led and gender-sensitive Early Warning-Early Response (EWER) groups in conflict-affected and conflict-vulnerable communities in Central Mindanao, with a particular emphasis on strategic alignment and efficient resource deployment. Participants actively identified key ways forward, outlining detailed plans for joint implementation, monitoring, and impact assessment. The collaborative environment fostered open dialogue, allowing both teams to synergize their strengths and refine their approach to the critical WPS initiatives.
The workshop culminated in the formal signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Transforming Fragilities, Inc. and Tiyakap Kalilintad, Inc. This agreement solidifies their partnership, setting the stage for a coordinated and impactful project that aims to further empower women and promote peace and security in the region. The signing marks a significant milestone, reinforcing the commitment of both organizations to deliver meaningful and sustainable change in the communities they serve.
