In pursuit of a more inclusive and participatory approach to development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Bangsamoro Economic and Development Council (BEDC) initiated a two-day Exposure and Learning Visit for selected Private Sector Organizations (PSOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). This activity aimed to bridge theory and practice in socio-economic development, providing participants with firsthand knowledge and inspiring examples of grassroots-led growth and governance.

Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) proudly took part in this endeavor, represented by Program Assistant Habiba Basaluddin. Her participation reflects TFI’s commitment to peacebuilding, civil society strengthening, and inclusive economic transformation within fragile and conflict-affected communities.
Held on June 17-18, 2025, the activity brought together BEDC-accredited organizations for an immersive exchange of ideas and models that have proven successful in various regions:
Day 1 featured a visit to Mahintana Foundation, Inc. in Polomolok, South Cotabato, where participants learned about effective multi-stakeholder partnerships and sustainable development programming. Day 2 was hosted by the Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) in Cotabato City, offering insights into the role of CSOs in peacebuilding, community resilience, and policy advocacy.

This exposure visit not only strengthened the capacity of PSOs and CSOs to contribute meaningfully to BARMM’s development roadmap but also opened doors for future collaboration, knowledge replication, and innovation in local contexts.
As BARMM continues to evolve, the involvement of dynamic and engaged organizations like TFI remains essential in building a just, peaceful, and thriving region where both private and civil sectors are empowered to shape a shared future.
