Transforming Fragilities Inc. (TFI) participated in the Enhancement Workshop on the Operational Guidelines of the Bangsamoro Private Sector Committee (BPSC) – Research and Development Working Group (RDWG) held on June 3, 2025, in Cotabato City.

The event, organized by the BPSC-RDWG Secretariat under the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), brought together stakeholders from government, academia, the private sector, and civil society to review and refine the draft operational guidelines of the working group. As an accredited civil society organization of the Bangsamoro Economic and Development Council (BEDC), TFI was represented by its Managing Director, Judith Joy Libarnes, Operations Officer, Ruel Pugoy, and MERL Associate, Princess Balinte-Malaguial.

Throughout the day-long workshop at Villa Miranda Event Place, participants discussed key aspects of the guidelines, including membership, roles, and coordination mechanisms, aiming to strengthen the groupโ€™s contribution to socio-economic development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The program included presentations, breakout sessions, and a plenary for synthesizing recommendations.

operational framework of the BPSC-RDWG reflects the needs and insights of a broad range of stakeholders. TFIโ€™s involvement underscored the role of accredited civil society organizations in shaping policies and supporting participatory governance in the region.

The event concluded with commitments from participants to continue collaborating on research and development initiatives aligned with BARMMโ€™s development agenda.
