Members from the Transforming Fragilities, Inc. (TFI) secretariat and pool of experts teamed up with the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) peacebuilding and stability team in a data analysis workshop. The aim was to distill groundbreaking findings from data collected during the Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) baseline study conducted earlier this year.
The PVE baseline study is a research initiative that aims to prevent violent extremism. TFI and UNDP hope that their research will contribute to a better understanding of the causes and drivers of violent extremism in the future and to evidence-based policymaking.
The two organizations have been working on this project for several months, and their combined efforts are finally bearing fruit. TFI and UNDP aim to publish their research assessments in the coming weeks.
This research assessment will be a valuable resource for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners interested in preventing violent extremism. It will provide evidence-based insights into the complex phenomenon of violent extremism and highlight effective interventions and strategies to address it.
The publication of this research assessment will mark an important milestone in the ongoing efforts to prevent violent extremism and promote peace and stability globally.
